Eso es 100 mil veces m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que un avi\u00f3n comercial.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Esa estrella es realmente, extremadamente r\u00e1pida\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el astr\u00f3nomo Stefan Gillessen, del Instituto Max Planck de F\u00edsica Extraterrestre.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>La estrella reci\u00e9n descubierta tambi\u00e9n orbita el agujero negro a una distancia m\u00e1s cercana de lo que los cient\u00edficos hab\u00edan visto nunca, y tarda apenas 8,7 a\u00f1os en completar una revoluci\u00f3n. Aprovecha la gravedad del agujero negro para volar m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido sin caer en \u00e9l.<\/p>\n<p>Gillessen y sus colegas descubrieron la estrella en datos recopilados por el Very Large Telescope del Observatorio Europeo Austral en el desierto de Atacama, en Chile. Sus hallazgos se publicaron el mi\u00e9rcoles en la revista Nature.<\/p>\n<p>Hay varios cientos de estrellas que orbitan de cerca este gigantesco agujero negro y son sensibles a su gravedad. Los cient\u00edficos han cartografiado las \u00f3rbitas de unas 50. La nueva estrella est\u00e1 10 veces m\u00e1s cerca que la anterior poseedora del r\u00e9cord, lo que significa que tambi\u00e9n siente los efectos de la rotaci\u00f3n del agujero negro.<\/p>\n<p>Hay agujeros negros supermasivos acechando en el centro de casi todas las galaxias grandes. Pero nada puede escapar de ellos \u2014ni siquiera la luz\u2014, por lo que es notoriamente dif\u00edcil para los cient\u00edficos averiguar qu\u00e9 ocurre en su interior.<\/p>\n<p>Estudiar estrellas como esta podr\u00eda ayudar a los cient\u00edficos a medir esas propiedades misteriosas, incluida la rapidez con la que gira el agujero negro supermasivo.
